Here's what I got:

2 bottles of Herbal Essences shampoo
3 bottles of Revlon nail polish
1 package of flavor-changing Stride gum {flavor-changing gum? should be interesting!}
2 individual packages of Crystal Light
1 CVS green bag tag*
*If you bring your own bag & have one of these tags, they'll scan it when you check out. You get a $1 ECB back every fourth time you use it. It's fantastic! I already have one, so I'm going to give this one away (I had a coupon to get it for free -- they're typically $0.99 each).
I spent $0.81 in cash (tax)
I used $17.99 in ECBs
I got back $14.99 in ECBs
So technically I lost $3 in ECBs, but I'm okay with that. I think I did pretty well for a last-minute trip!
I'm curious -- do these posts inspire you to try your hand at couponing, or do you think I'm crazy? Is it boring or interesting? Do tell!

I can't say I really want to go out an coupon like this - mainly because I'm pretty brand-loyal when it comes to a lot of cosmetic/personal care items (make-up, shampoo, soap) because I have allergic reactions to a lot of things, so once I find something that works, I stick to it. And I'll stick to my few-dollars-a-week savings in coupons.
I do find your posts really interesting, though. So keep 'em coming. :)
I'm still waiting for the day when I have time to sit down and figure out this whole couponing thing! LOL! I love seeing the great deals you get though...keep the posts coming! :)
...and maybe you could write about how you got started with couponing, tips for newbies, etc.? :)
For couponing newbies, I recommend money saving mom's "CVS 101" post. I'm partial to CVS (over Walgreens & Rite Aid), but she has great "101" posts for other places, too. Check it out!

I love seeing your coupon deals. I just went to CVS tonight to sign up for a card. Hopefully I will find deals, like you!
