I find it interesting how I "classify" certain friends. Am I alone in this?
My dear friend Kirstin is my pedicure friend. We try to meet up every 4-6 weeks and get pedicures together. Sadly, it's usually the only time we actually see one another! But I love pedicures {they're one of my major weaknesses}, and I've been really thankful to have someone to share my monthly "tradition" with. {Let me just give you a free piece of pedicure advice. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: if you live in Louisville, go to Red Nails in the St. Matthews mall. I mean it when I say that they give the BEST pedicures I have ever had. Anywhere. Hands down.}
Meg is my workout friend. I haven't hung out with Meg in FAR too long {Megaroo, are you listening?!} -- which means I haven't worked out in far too long. :/ Seriously, it's been like a month. Eeik! And I was doing so well....
And Kelly? Kelly is my sewing friend. Hey, Kelly, maybe when you come back from vacation we can have a sewing night and I can make this.
Isn't it so cute?!
{Kelly, let's talk for a second. I'm in love. Do you think it's possible? It looks kind of hard. And you know how limited my sewing skills are.
Maybe I should just pin it to my "I Must Do This" pinterest board and wait 'til I'm better. You know, like after I can manage to thread my machine without asking you for help.
Ok, now I'm done having a one-on-one conversation with you on my blog. Call me!}
Now, it seems, would be a good time to tell you about Laura. Laura is my spiritual friend. And by that I mean that Laura is always challenging me and encouraging me in pursuit of a God who is there. She seems to be a quite content person {though I'm thankful to know that she struggles here and there, too}, and I could always use a dose of contentment. Case in point: I have a lot of skirts already.
And I didn't even tell you about Alicia, my photography friend {see more here}. Or Ashley, my absolute-bestest-of-all-time friend {see more here}.
Or Stephanie, my we-have-lunch-every-Wednesday-and-I-love-that! friend. Or Chelsy, my we-can-not-talk-for-months-but-when-we-do-we-pick-up-like-we-just-talked-yesterday friend.
Wow. I began this post to talk about a skirt tutorial, and I'm getting ready for bed feeling extremely thankful for so many fun, talented, smart, creative, sweet, kind, beautiful friends! Even if i didn't put your name in this blog {and there are so many names I didn't list!} -- you know who you are. I'm grateful.
Thank you for your friendship!

I just want you to know you are a wonderful friend to look up to. I hope to someday be as good a friend as you have been to me. Love you.
(Oh, btw, MLA tells me I can split infinitives now ... so I wasn't being anti-prescriptivist there just to bug you. :) )
You are so sweet, and I am really thankful we are friends. Before I even saw my name, I thought "We *have* to make that skirt!" So yes, next weekend, let's make a skirt like that because I don't think it would be difficult at all.
Say something...
