These pages are left blank
not for a lack of things past
but in anticipation of things to come.
I don't think it's as clever as I thought it was at the time, but I still like it. At any rate, this post is not meant to reminisce about college creativity (or lack thereof), but to say that my lack of posting isn't an indication of what's been going on with the Crousers. There's a beautiful new couch in my living room (and an old one, too... which is an adventure! --let's hope someone buys it soon!), which I'll post about in a few days. But better yet, and the most exciting news I have to share: there's a new Theule in the world!

Penelope Jane Theule was born on Saturday, April 19 to a proud mom and dad:

We could not be more thrilled. I've never been this close to a birth before; it's the craziest experience (imagine what it's like to be the parents!). I walked in, saw her, and burst into tears. I know, I know, I cry at everything--but I was totally not expecting to have that reaction. The whole thing is just so beautiful! God is so kind and creative to bring life in this way.
But, as Alicia laughingly pointed out, childbirth is a curse--well, at least the pain is! Alicia made it through twenty hours of labor only to have a c-section because--get this--PJT's umbilical cord was too short for a normal birth! Poor thing (both of them). But mom and baby are happy and healthy, and all's well that ends well.
Praise God for Penelope Jane Theule!

So a post chiefly about a baby is titled "In anticipation of things to come". Foreshadow much? :-)
Say something...
