1. I am working today to make up for being off last Thursday. I wish I wasn't working today. TGIF, though, right?
2. I've been looking for a lamp for my nightstand for a while now. Remember this one?
It was tiny & gave off almost no light. So it went bye bye, and I haven't had a lamp for a while. But since I've recently acquired my very own library card -- and since I've recently become hooked on a Canadian murder-mystery series -- I need a lamp in the worst way. I found a cute base at Target a few weeks ago and matched it with a simple white shade. Exhibit A:
I'm still not totally convinced I love it, but the price was right.* If I decide to keep it, I'm going to trim out the shade with ribbon à la LGN. Maybe that will make me like it more? To be continued.
{*Here's how much I love a deal. I found the base on sale at Target for $20 (originally $40), so I bought it. I couldn't decide if I really liked it, so I kept the tags on it while I looked for a shade. Then, while in WV last week, I saw the same base on clearance for $12! So I bought it and returned the one I had at home. Yes, I would just love to save $8, thank you!}
3. Speaking of projects, my bestie has inspired me to get my DIY in gear with her awesome bar-stool makeover. I love the fabric she chose!
4. Have I mentioned that my hubs comes home tonight??? I can't wait. :)
5. Oh hey! Look how productive I've been with my bathroom project! I actually put the paint samples on the wall. The problem is that I'm not sure I like any of them.
Instagram makes it harder to tell the true colors, I know, but I'm convinced they're impossible to capture with a picture anyway. Do you have a favorite paint color? I have been thinking about light grey/blue, but I'm open to suggestion! A friend of mine commented that she liked my current color. Well, me too, but it's been on the wall for five years & I'm ready for a change. :)
Have a great Friday & a great weekend!

Awww, thanks for the shout out!
We have bought four paint samples for our bedroom and I don't like any of them, so I totally understand!
Grays are HARD. I tried like 12 when I wanted to paint my house. I finally went to home depot and said all I Want is a true gray. So they just mixed black paint with white!
Yay! I want some gray or blues but can't decide and now it's been three years. :-/
Say something...
