Whirlwind

What a whirlwind my life has become! I confess, I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed again -- kind of like I felt before I had Fridays off. Our personal lives have been busy lately... and work has been crazy... and I've been sick... and I have ended up working several Fridays, too. All of it is kind of throwing me for a loop.

Speaking of life before Fridays off -- did I ever officially say that I don't work Fridays anymore? Because I don't. Well, technically (I seem to be breaking that rule a lot lately). I spoke to my boss after feeling like this for a while, and he graciously allowed me to cut that day from my schedule. What a seriously amazing blessing. One more day really makes all the difference. It seems crazy, but it's true. I can't express how much that one simple day adds to my health and sanity and overall well being. Travis, you'll probably never read this, but if you do -- thank you.

So I was supposed to go home this weekend to visit family, but I forgot that this weekend is Thunder Over Louisville. Kind of a big thing to forget, I know! Our Community Group is going to walk downtown for the fireworks on Saturday and I can't wait. I plan to wait in line for 45 minutes to buy a $7 funnel cake this year, too. :)

Speaking of our community group, they're fun. Here are a few of us when we went to Lynn's Paradise Café... forever ago:

I need more pictures of you guys (especially all of you who aren't in this picture!), which I'm pretty sure means we all need to hang out more often. You know, in all of my {and your} free time.

So... back to my point. I can't go home this weekend.

I can't go home next weekend because it's the Seminary's Preview conference and Village Manor participates in that every year.

I can't go home the weekend after that because I'm going home with Kirstin for another baby shower in honor of Verity. (I'm excited to road trip with you, K, and to go to Michigan for the first time!)

I can't go home the weekend after that because my bestie, Chelsy, is getting married! (!!!)

{Look, I've been having fun learning how to use messing around with iPhoto's editing software! Lesson #1: don't overexpose photos. Got it.}

I can't go home the weekend after that because my hubs will be leaving to go overseas for a few weeks with the Seminary and I must bid him good riddance spend time with him before he leaves. {Love you, hubs!!}

I can't go home the weekend after that because I'll be sleeping all. weekend. long.

Whew. I think I just took you from April 17th to May 15th. Whirlwind is right! They're all really fun things {except for the hubs leaving, of course}, but am I the only one that gets overwhelmed even by things that are wonderful??

If I had more free time, I would buy lots of strawberries and make yummy things.

And read this. (I'll be honest; I have a hard time getting into an online magazine, but I heard the latest issue is fabulous!)

And catch up on this. I'm still in Season Two!

And figure out how to organize my coupons (thanks for all of the good suggestions, by the way!).

And tackle this project, which I haven't even come close to starting yet.

And generally sleep more.

Maybe in June. :)

Hmmm ... we were supposed to tackle that project when I was there, weren't we?

I'm sorry you're so overwhelmed - I wish I could help! (And I'll do my best not to add to it ... I promise! :) )

I totally get this way. We are in the process of finding a new job for the hubs. It means we have to pack up and move to a new city. It also means I have to search for a new job once we figure out where we're going. Long story short....I feel ya!

Say something...
