Lucy Fer

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

I posted our ugly beautiful couch on Facebook's Marketplace hoping that someone in Louisville would want to pay $150 for it (what a steal!). No takers until today when I got a message from someone named Lucy Fer:
I would like to know more about your couch for sale. May I come to your home to see it? It looks very nice, but buying online can be DEVIL-ish!

So maybe you got the "Lucy Fer" thing right off the bat... I didn't -- until that message, that is. Cool, so a weirdo wants to buy my couch. Whatever works! I sent this message back:

Hello, I'm not sure if you're serious about the couch or not, but if you are, you're welcome to drop by and see it. Toward the end of the week would be better -- just let me know!

And I get this response:

That would be SINfully delightful!!! Also, can I buy your SOUL?

Yep, definitely a weirdo, and apparently one who doesn't want to buy my couch. So sad. But then another message comes through:

Perhaps I could WIN your SOUL in a game...do you happen to play the FIDDLE?

Ok, so an annoying, non-couch-buying, Charlie-Daniels-referencing weirdo. Sorry, Lucy, but consider yourself reported to the Facebook police. Honestly, who does that???

In other not-so-weird news, I'd like some flowers for my desk. These would be nice:

I'd also like for someone to buy my couch. Interested?

haha - be careful letting that person come get your couch :) although i'm sure if you did let them come it would make for a wonderful story!

sounds like a definite creepster...Braden had a similar thing happen to him when we were selling our 4-wheelers on facebook market. sounds like we should all steer clear...

wow, that is really creepy. we had someone try to scam us on facebook market yesterday regarding Joe's car...I guess I'd prefer that to someone trying to win my soul though.

Say something...
