-Wes just finished up his fall semester and is taking two J-term courses before the Spring semester: Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Ministry of Leadership. I think he will finish his MDiv next fall. One word: CRAZY! Our time in Louisville has seriously flown by. Then he will begin his PhD... somewhere. Who knows where we will end up. I try not to think about it most days, lest I be anxious. :)
-I am working at our apartment complex as the office manager, and I love it. There are definite perks to working two minutes from your front door. (There are also definite drawbacks!) But for the most part, it is fantastic, and God couldn't have blessed me with a better job. I am so thankful!
-I am not putting up a Christmas tree this year. I know, I know. I probably couldn't put it up until this weekend, and then we'd have only a week and a half to enjoy it before we went home to WV for Christmas. Seems like a lot of work for 10 days. I'm going to put out a few red candles, fill a hurricane with silver and white Christmas bulbs, and call it Christmas. Maybe next year I will get started earlier....
-I desperately want a puppy and now Wes's sister has the exact one that I want. I mentioned this, and the unfairness of life, previously.

-I recently bought the softest pair of pajama pants you've ever felt in your whole life. Then I bought a matching robe. Needless to say, I have a hard time getting dressed in the morning, and I change into my pajamas the instant I get home from work in the evening. My goal is to spend as little time as possible in clothes that are not my robe/pajama pants.
-We are leading a small group through our church and there are 5 couples and three single ladies who regularly attend. If you are reading this and are in our Community Group, I love you! [If you are reading this and are not in our Community Group, I probably love you, too. Ask if you're unsure. ;)]

-A Seminary vocal/instrumental ensemble is performing Handel's Messiah tomorrow night and we're going. I can't wait!
-My youth pastor died yesterday -- had an unexpected massive heart attack when he stopped for coffee before church. Died instantly. I heard the gospel through him in high school. This was the verse of the day on BibleGateway.com -- totally appropriate!

John 11:25a: Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies"
I know Doug is experiencing inexpressible joy with Christ -- but I can't stop thinking about his wife and kids. He was in his late 40s/early 50s. No one expected it; there was no warning. I can't comprehend what they must be going through. Please pray for his family!
I think those are the highlights in our world. Stay tuned for more ruffle inspiration in the future. :)

i should do the same...
but apparently my blog has turned into one of those "mom blogs"...! lol!
Hi Beth,
I happened to check out your blog today (found on my facebook news feed) and I see that we are both Seminary wives, right now. Jason still has another two years, but at least I don't think he is contemplating a PhD (yet!). Our problem is that Jason works full time at a church as well as taking a full course load. I am considering joining him at the seminary for a masters (that's one way to get to see more of my husband =) ), but not sure yet where God is leading. Anyway, God bless you as a seminary wife as you contniuously point your husband to Christ (and perhaps occasionally proofread theology papers). -Laurie (Horstman) Clapper
