All About Eye (Cream)

So. Do you use an eye cream that is a miracle worker? Or that actually does its job? You know, that removes the dark circles and puffy-ness we (or at least me!) are blessed with each morning?

I use Clinique's All About Eyes. I use it every morning and every evening. And you know what? I'm not sure it really does anything. I still have dark circles that no amount of concealer will cover. So the question I'm asking myself is this: why do I continue to buy AAE? I'm not sure. Maybe because I like the way it feels? I know that sounds dumb. But really, it feels wonderful!

I would like to use something that really works. That's all I'm saying. No offense to Clinique; we all know that I love Clinique. My dark circles just cannot be matched. I do not know why; I surely get enough sleep. Maybe I should just invest in some really good concealer?

Actually, I just discovered that Clinique now makes AAE Concealer. Two products in one! Brilliant! Except for one big thing that we're currently discussing: AAE doesn't seem to work for me. But yet I have this feeling that I will buy it anyway, as I am almost out of both AAE and concealer.

But then what will I use at night? I don't want makeup on my pillow.

Ok, I know I'm rambling and I didn't use any pictures, but I hope you'll have pity on me and comment anyway with advice/help/product endorsements. I know I'm not the only one who's struggling, so I'm hoping someone has some answers!

My Mom just started using Apriori and her sensitive skin LOVES it. It's pricey, but lasts! (FYI, the website says it's a 30 day supply but it really lasts MUCH longer) :) http://aprioribeauty.com/ic/julieshumate

Also, Arbonne is incredible. Both Apriori and Arbonne are all natural and my sensitive, breakout prone skin loves it :)

My roommate uses some kind of caffiene-infused roller-ball thingy that she says really works. She's out of town (taking a sailing lesson with her boyfriend - lucky girl!), but I'll ask her when she gets home.

I use coco oil under my eyes at night - this helps with mouisture becuase dryness often causes undereye issues and causes wrinkles. The coco oil helps with both. I have also heard that a creme mixture of fresh yogurt and raw honey is super helpful for puffiness.

To cover in the morning I then use MAC liquid concealer during the day - literally a drop for each eye of the concealer, the less you put under your eyes the better. I have dark circles and have used the MAC concealer now for about 7 years. Its awesome, covers great and lasts forever!!!!! Make sure to apply with a foundation brush so its not getting crammed into the wrinkles under your eyes, use a small amount, and determine whether a "yellow based" or "green based" under-eye concealer is best for your skin tone and blackness. I have olive skin so my undereye concealer is yellow based.

And don't ever use regular blemish concealer that you use over the rest of your face for the undereyes, those have ingredients to dry your skin/pimples that will really mess up your undereyes.....

May I suggest our concealer Beth? Mary Kay's concealer was featured in Oprah's Magazine in April as a spring make up winner! It's concentrated, so you just need a tiny amount. Also, we have a roll on serum that takes care of puffiness and dark circles that I use and love! It's called Timewise Targeted Action Eye Revitalizer. You said I could comment and suggest... we back our products with a 100% guarantee..so if you buy, try, and don't like, I'll switch it out for something else of equal cost or ultimately refund your cash! www.marykay.com/jessdejesus

Beth,
I have HORRIBLE eye circles. Mine are just passed down from my mom but nothing I try to do will take them away. Now you know that I am a fond lover of Clinique. It is very hard for me to try new products because I love Clinique so much. A few months ago they had a sample with Youth Surge lotion in it. I got hooked. It made my skin feel so good and I use it all over my face...including my eyes. I tried the Costco Kirkland version of Youth Surge and I love it just as much. I use Clinique's eye concealer. If you want the name, let me know. I love it.

(I still have under eye circles, but I think it's just part of my face.)

Say something...
