25 Things?

Friday, May 15, 2009

One of my favorite bloggers has vowed to blog about 29 things she wants for her 29th birthday. I'm thinking about doing something similar, as I'm actually feeling pretty materialistic about my birthday this year. I don't know if I'll come up with 25 things (yes, 25! it's quarter-life crisis time!), but I think I'm off to a good start.

I do confess, though, that I'm slightly paranoid about this silly list. Remember the time I posted that I wanted something and SOMEONE AMAZING sent it to me? (Note: I still have no idea who!) Please know, dear readers, that I'm not trying to solicit presents. I'm just doing this for fun. (Unless, of course, you're my husband. If that's true, I am indeed trying to solicit presents!)

All that said, check out my wist on the lower right. I'm in the market for a new duvet cover, too, but I haven't decided on a particular one yet. I'm also looking for some nice, white dishes to replace my china -- not china, but a happy medium between fiestaware and china. Something like Mikasa's Antique White:

Any suggestions?

Love the list. 25 isn't so scary, until I realize that my parents had me at 25 and then I feel a little behind in life. I completely blame school, but not too worry, I'm sure I'll survive.

As for the Fiesta chowder dish, if you stop at Fiesta outlets (like the one in Flatwoods - maybe stop the next time you are driving through) they often have a left-overs room in the back.... Products where there might be a chip or the glaze might not be uniform all over. Anyway, these products are always marked down big time. You can also go to the Fiesta plant in Chester WV and go through the pieces there as well. I have service for 12 (yes 12) - dinner plates, salad and soup bowls, dessert plates and coffee cups all for less than $50. I also have a couple of their big dishes as well. They might not have what you are looking for, but if you keep looking I'm sure you might find a good deal! Just an FYI for my fellow fiesta friend.
