Isn't She Lovely?

I was thankful over the Easter weekend to get to visit my grandmother in Morgantown. She is the biggest gift of God in my life. She and my grandfather were instrumental in raising me in my younger years; I'm not sure I'll ever have two bigger fans. I can't express how much their love and support has meant to me over the years. My grandfather passed away while I was in college; I still think of him almost every day. I truly praise God for how much time I was able to spend with them growing up.

After I got married, my grandmother moved into Sundale, which is a wonderful nursing home in Morgantown. They, along with my father and his family, take such good care of her, and for that I'm so grateful.

Here she is posing with the bunny Sally (Wes's mom) put in her Easter basket:

Wesley wasn't able to make the trip to Morgantown, as Easter conveniently coincided with midterms, and he had a lot of schoolwork to do. But while I was visiting with Grammy, I received a text message from my wonderful husband to her. Here she is checking it out (this face cracks me up!):

"Ooooh," she says, "it's from JOHN WESLEY." No -- my husband's name isn't John Wesley; she just insists on calling him that. Pet name, perhaps? At any rate, not many things make her happier than JOHN WESLEY. I think she likes him more than me. At one point she told me that if she was younger she'd steal him from me! :) Look how happy she is:

So happy, in fact, that she decides to kiss my cell phone:

How sweet! I'm so thankful for her. I love you, Grammy!
