Speaking of West Virginia, we get to go home for Easter! Hooray!
True Story:
Today I was sitting in traffic, minding my own business... crying. (Those of you who know me won't be alarmed by that statement; I tend to cry often.) I was doing perfectly fine--just minding my own emotional business, praising God for some good gifts in my life--when, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed some guy hanging out of his car window to my left motioning to me. My immediate thought was, "Oh NO, this guy wants directions or something and I'm totally crying my eyes out; how awkward!" But I decided he probably wouldn't notice (?), so I rolled down the window and said hello. The guy looks at me and goes, "Someone as beautiful as you really shouldn't be crying."
WHAT?
Haha. I burst out laughing, unsure of what else to do/say, and said, "Oh, it's ok, they're happy tears!" He kind of smiled and said, "Oh, ok, well, that's alright then," and rolled his window up. Yep, that's definitely all he wanted. You must be kidding me. I sat and laughed in my car for the duration of the light. I'm sure he got a kick out of it. Should I be embarassed to say it totally made my day? Thanks, God, for an odd source of encouragement.
